to compose new cello-piano-voice works, cello-guitar-voice works, and cello-piano instrumental works. Bringing these works to public performance in free concerts in some of Asheville's most interesting concert venues. Engaging audiences in discussion of the creative process, and allowing audiences to control various compositional parameters (meter, mode, affect, etc) in on-the-spot duo improvisations.
a three-section 15-minute elaborate SATB-piano-horn-flute-clarinet work, commissioned by the Reuter Center Singers and premiered in May 2008 at the Reuter Center on the UNCA campus.
including teaching the Exploring Musical Composition course, serving as a "class rep," serving as a computer class mentor, performing with the Reuter Center Singers, and creating "Special Events" for the performance space such as the March 29th 2009 concert & discussion free performance with cellist Aaron Coffin.
being part of great performances such as Carmina Burana 2007 and Mozart Requiem 2008, as well as the semesters'-end concerts and the run-out concerts to nursing homes and to Biltmore Estate.
